"Starry Night"
When I was a young boy, my parents took me to the Museum of Modern Art in New York City, where I saw Van Gogh's "Starry Night" painting for the first time. Something opened up inside of me when I saw that piece. I couldn't stop staring at it and I began hearing music in my mind. I think this was my initial awakening as a composer. -Bruce Wolosoff
Here are two compositions inspired by "Starry Night":
Einojuhani Rautavaara's Symphony #6, 1st Movement
Henri Dutilleux's "Timbre, Space, Movement"
